Yusif Ahmadov, a representative of UniPro LLC, a subsidiary of UNICO CJSC group of companies, participated in the national conference “Implementation of Circular Economy in Azerbaijan: Development of Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production in Manufacturing Enterprises”.
A national conference sponsored by the European Union, organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) within the framework of the activities envisaged for Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production (REEF) covering the EU4Environment initiative, on May 13, 2024, at the Park Inn Radisson Hotel in Baku has been organized.
The purpose of the conference is to emphasize and promote sustainability and green development in manufacturing enterprises in Azerbaijan by showing the advantages of RSDTI during the transition to a circular economy.
As a result, the main topics of discussion were the following:
- Implementation of RSDTI as a step to achieve a circular economy.
- Using eco-industrial parks as a strategic approach to environmental sustainability.
- Application of Product Ecological Footprint to enter the EU Single Market for Green Products.
- Mobilizing finance and investment to facilitate the transition to a greener economy.
